Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is our great pleasure that we invite you to pre-register to the 5th International Epilepsy Colloquium on PEDIATRIC EPILEPSY SURGERY to be held in Lyon, France from Sunday May 20th to Wednesday May 23rd, 2012.
For the first time the CLAUDIO MUNARI WORKSHOP will also take place alongside the colloquium on the afternoon of Wednesday , May 23rd.

The International Epilepsy Colloquia (IEC) represent a joint initiative from three major epilepsy centers: - the CLEVELAND Case Western Reserve University in the USA, the MARBURG EpilepsieZentrum in GERMANY and the LYON University Hospital Institute for Children and Adolescents with Epilepsy – IDEE, in FRANCE.

Since 2008 all centers havebeen very successful and have addressed major topics pertaining to clinical epileptology at the following meetings:
•The Mesial Temporal Lobe Epilepsies (MARBURG, June 2008)
•Paediatric Epilepsy Surgery (LYON, May 2009)
•Extra-Temporal Lobe Epilepsies (CLEVELAND, May 2010)
•Epilepsy Surgery for Remote Symptomatic Epilepsies (MARBURG, June 2011)
The new published new ILAE definition on drug resistance, on-going advances in pediatric epileptology (both in terms of diagnostic evaluation and medical treatment with new AEDs becoming available) but above all, the highly challenging field of pediatric epilepsy surgery have driven the Scientific Committee to focus the 2012 5th Colloquium to be held in Lyon on PEDIATRIC EPILEPSY SURGERY and its related issues.

The program is nearly completed and looks very promising. Just like in our previous editions a large amount of time will be devoted to video sessions and debates on current essential issues.
You will also be able to present a poster and share experiences of your clinical practices with experts from all over the world.
